Meet Asteria
My name is Asteria Grace and I am a proud advocate for Autism awareness and acceptance. I believe that everyone, no matter their abilities should be given an equal chance to thrive. And that with the right help and understanding, everyone can achieve great things.
I was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder in 2014 at the age of 12. Now for anyone who has ever been 12 you will know that this is not the easiest time in a persons life. So to get a diagnosis on top of that can be a bit much from someone to handle. At first I chose to hide my Autism but then with the help and support of my amazing family, friends and teachers I have slowly learnt to embrace who I am.
Since then I have been working to speak out and share my experiences with Autism and Bulling with as many people as I can in a hope that it might one day help inspire someone else to just take that leap of faith and be confident in being themselves.
